In today’s online world, having a website for your business is a necessity. Whether you are a small business or an individual, you must create a website.

How to create a simple website

Creating your website is a great way to market yourself and showcase your products and services to a wider audience. Many steps are involved in creating a website, but we outline the necessary steps below.

But how do you go about creating your website? Below, we will outline the steps necessary to create your website.

How to create a simple website

1. Choose a Domain Name

The first step is to choose a domain name. Many options are available, so choosing something relevant to your business is important. Once you have chosen a domain name, it is time to register the name with the appropriate registrar, such as NameCheap.

There are numerous options available, and prices vary depending on the quality of the name and location. Once you have purchased the domain name, you must register it with your hosting provider. This process usually requires verification information such as your address or driver’s license number. Once registered, your hosting provider will provide you with instructions on how to set up your website.

2. Choose a Hosting Account

After you have chosen a domain name, it is time to choose a hosting account. A hosting account is what will house your website.

There are a few different hosting services to choose from, each with its advantages and disadvantages. Some hosts, such as Hostinger and BlueHost, offer a wide range of features, while others, such as Site5 and WP Engine, focus exclusively on handling website hosting.

It is important to choose a host that meets your specific needs. For example, if you plan on using a cPanel interface to manage your website’s settings, you would need a host with that feature. Conversely, if you only need basic hosting services without any cPanel features, then HostGator or I hosting could work well.

Once you have chosen your hosting account and a provider that meets your needs, creating your website’s web server configuration files is time. A web server is software that will run your website and handle all visitors’ requests.

Several web servers are available (Apache2+, Nginx+, Microsoft IIS), so it is important to find the one that best suits your needs. Once you have determined which type of web server to use (and configured it accordingly), it is time to create your website’s web server configuration files.

3. Install a Website Builder like WordPress CMS

There are many different website CMS available on the internet, but one of the most popular is WordPress. WordPress is a free, open-source website builder that can be installed on almost any website. Once installed, you can create a new website or edit an existing website.

Now that you have your domain name and hosting account, it is time to install a website builder. There are a few options available, and we recommend choosing one that is easy to use.

4. Choose a Theme

After you have installed your website CMS, it is time to choose a theme. You will need to select a layout for your website. Many themes are available, and choosing something that fits your business is important.

There are many different themes available on ThemeForest, so it is up to you which one you would like to use. The layout options are “Fixed Width” and “Responsive”.? If you are using a fixed width layout, please make sure that the width of your browser window is set to at least 600 pixels wide. If using a responsive layout, ensure that your browser window is set to at least 768 pixels wide.

5. Choose a Page builder

If you want more control over your website’s design, you’ll need to consider using a more robust web builder. There are many web page builders, each with its features and benefits. Ultimately, what matters most is what you need your website to do. If you want to create a stunning website, Divi & Elementor are the best page builders.

Some of the most popular options include Elementor (which offers free and paid plans), Divi (which offers paid plans), or Zyro (which is available for both personal and commercial use). Depending on your needs, one of these builders may be perfect for you.

6. Configure Your Website

Now that your website builder is installed and your theme selected, it is time to configure it. You will need to configure a few settings, such as your website’s name and the theme’s layout.

To begin, you will need to choose a name for your website.

You can use anything you like, as long as it is unique. Once you have chosen your name, go to the “Website Name” settings page and enter it into the field provided.

Once these settings have been configured, it is time to add Content to your website. To do this, click on the “Pages” tab and the “Add New Page” button. Enter a name for the page and then fill in the Content that you would like displayed on that page.

Now it is time to add a “Home” page. To do this, click on the “Pages” tab and the “Home” button. This will add a new blank page to your website.

You can fill this page with a simple message about your website, or you can use it to display additional Content that is specific to your website.

If you make any changes to your site after publishing it, please don’t forget to update the front-end and back-end configurations, so your site remains live.
